A true HBC original! Original Flakey was designed for the sole purpose of giving Darren confidence in knowing that his bread flake bait would not be nibbled away by minnows whilst trying to catch chub.

Available exclusively from The Hook Bait Company, Flakey cleverly combines the looks and appeal of breadflake with the resilience and robustness of a boilie. At last you can trot a piece of flake or fish it on the bottom without fear of the bait being nibbled away by nuisance fish! You can fish-on knowing that your bait will be there even if you miss a tentative bite, no more reeling in to attach a fresh piece of flake!

Made from our Milk Pro HNV boilie mix, each piece is individually crafted by hand to give it the flake look. The baits are then steamed so that the flavour is locked in and the Flakey is very durable. You can change the size of the Flakey by nipping off pieces with your finger nails which also lets out more of the flavour.

Available in either standard Cheese & Garlic or any of our flavour range, these individually crafted pieces of flake are steamed to lock in the flavour, for optimum attraction. Supplied in a handy re-sealable pot, The baits are shelf life too!

The bait is pliable enough to mount directly on the hook but each piece is pre-drilled for mounting on a hair. As the baits are steamed rather than boiled, the flavour and attractor levels are much higher making them ideal for attracting chub – for example, when trotting. You can nip off pieces to change the shape of the flake and let out a bit more flavour. Tremendous for tempting the chub in the harshest of conditions in conjunction with our ‘The Big Cheese’ Gloop.

Well what can you say about the humble worm as fishing bait that has not been said before… not much, we can tell you! Worms are simply brilliant as bait for a multitude of fish species and we thought we would incorporate the very essence of the worm into our new ‘Naturals’ range.

Worm Krill is an exciting new bait concept that has been put through its paces with some very encouraging results.

The base is a combination of meat and marine meals that have been blended with krill, another fantastic fish attractor. The dry ingredients are blended together using a mixture of egg and real worm extract and the worm carcasses help give the finished boilies structure and also help to disperse the real worm aroma. We have incorporated yeast with the worm extract so that the enzymes start to feed off each other making this a pre-digested food that is simply irresistible. The protein value of this food bait is absolutely tremendous and beneficial to the dietary requirements of the fish, add to that the natural aroma of the worm combined with the krill and yeast makes for a long term food source that will prove its worth in a sustained baiting campaign.

Worm Krill Products:

If you are looking for a nut based boilie then this mix is the one for you. We have incorporated copious amounts of powdered and crushed tiger nut and peanut and blended them with protein enriched fish meals and milk products and thrown in a bit of biscuit and betaine for good measure.

The flavour is a combination of malt & maple with natural sweeteners to promote the nutty smell and flavour of this bait.

Rage Products:

Spicy Fish Pro is made up from an enticing blend of fishmeals that include Tuna, Krill and Salmon.

The flavours used are completely natural and are not over powering but they do hang around giving out signals of food present.

Initially launched at the Barbel Society conference, the bait has since been enhanced and re-branded to Spicy Fish Pro and is already proving itself to be a classic.

Spicy Fish Pro Products:

A very dark and rich bodied mix which contains a multitude of natural food items including snails, shrimps, daphnia and krill – blended with fish and marine meal and top quality milk derivatives making this mix truly natural.

For flavour we thought long and hard and, after trials we came up with a blend of anchovy and real worm extract along with a liquid fish protein that just smells superb.

We highly recommend this bait for use on pressured waters but especially if you are targeting barbel or chub.

Natural Crave Products:

Tincaberry is a new bait primarily designed for tench. Former Drennan Cup holder and team member Iain McDonald asked me to design a bait for his tench and bream fishing in Mid Kent a couple of seasons ago and he and his fishing companion Jamie Kerr have caught very well on it. Tincaberry has already accounted for numerous large tench, including several double-figure specimens.

The bait contains all the key ingredients that tench like, including high grade milks, fish and meat protein as well as halibut. Flavour-wise it could only be natural worm extract enhanced with a splendid fruit flavour and a few taste enhancers.

Tincaberry is now used and endorsed by many members of The Tenchfishers, who have enjoyed substantial results on the bait – with tench to 11lb banked on it in 2021, and many more since!

The largest reported tench caught on Tincaberry so far was a monster 12lb 7oz tench caught by Rob Spinks, which was the largest tench caught by anyone in 2021!
